The only new gaming thing being released this year is the Wii U controller which is basically a tablet screen controller that will allow you to continue to play your game while someone is watching something else on the tv or you can use it to do cool things in games while playing with the tv input to the wii.

Gaming Console Releases
One thing that people look forward to most every year is the release of a new game console or two. When game consoles are released, it's usually what parents end up looking for around christmas time to get for their kids. This year will be somewhat of a disappointment though. Parents are going to have to find something else to buy their kids this christmas 2012.

I'm not really too interested in wii games because I like the action that I get in xbox and playstation games better. I feel as though Wii is too much of a family fun thing rather than a real gaming console. Sadly, the Xbox 720 and the Playstation 4 are not going to come out in 2012. We are unsure of when they will be released and so that won't be something that people can look forward to in their christmas presents this year. :(

Actually the Wii U is going to be a new console. The only perks that I know of so far are that it can do high definition, and I think it can finally watch DVD's. Otherwise it has been said that it will not be able to play gamecube games, which is odd because I'm not sure if that means they will keep the gamecube controller ports on the system for games able to use them. Also, as far as we know, the new system can only handle one of the new controllers at a time because the controller takes a lot of power for the system to stay connected too it. The Wii U will also allow you to use the controllers from the old system on it. The new controller concerns me on the cost of this new system.
ReplyDeleteAnd this link is a small article a friend of mine found on the supposed new xbox system controller: http://www.afterdawn.com/news/article.cfm/2012/02/14/magazine_next_xbox_will_have_touchscreen_controller_just_like_wii_u
